Firstly, allow us to extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication throughout the Plutonians journey so far. As we’ve powered ahead forging the Plutonians metaverse, your enthusiasm and belief in our vision have been our guiding star. However, every journey has its challenges, and we’re facing one right now.
Given the evolution of the VR environment and the ongoing challenges in the crypto space, especially with its extended stagnation over the past 10 months, we’ve made the difficult decision to place the Unreal Engine project on a temporary hiatus. Our analysis suggests that transitioning our development focus towards Unity, considering emerging platforms like the Apple Vision Pro headset, may offer a more fruitful trajectory for Plutonians. We also acknowledge that perhaps the world isn’t quite ready to fully embrace the potential of Plutonians just yet.
But every cloud has its plutonium lining. While we are entering a brief period of stasis, we want to provide our community with the UE5 beta version of Plutonians. Consider this as a testament to how far we’ve come and a blueprint for the future Plutonians space sim we envision. We hope this release will inspire and keep the flames of excitement alive in all of you until the project is reignited and brought to life anew in Unity VR.
Remember, Plutonians is not just a UE5 game - it’s a multiplatform & multi-software metaverse. The Plutonians vision is one where players can dive into the Plutonians universe across an array of platforms, be it AR, VR, web, or mobile.
Our mission with Plutonians has always been about pushing boundaries and delivering unparalleled gaming experiences. Think of this hiatus as a brief respite — a time for gathering momentum and recalibrating our trajectory.
